I’m Bea Brito—an actress, filmmaker, and photographer wandering between reality and dreams. I grew up on theater stages from the age of eight, where storytelling became my second language.
After living in New York and London, I’ve found my way back to São Paulo.
I have a deep love for horror films, especially the strange and beautiful worlds of David Lynch. Wim Wenders’ poetic journeys and Nan Goldin’s raw intimacy also inspire me. I’m endlessly fascinated by the ‘70s. But the '70s—the rawness, the rebelliousness, the urgency—holds a grip on me. It was a time when activism burned bright in the LGBTQIAPN+ community, and I feel deeply connected to it.
The artists of that time didn’t just create—they shattered norms, they exposed truths, they celebrated what society tried to suppress. I believe that’s the essence of art: to bleed out the unspoken, to carry those vital stories forward, loud and unapologetic.
Through my lens and performances, I try to trap that essence—where nostalgia and possibility collide, where the cinematic meets the raw pulse of reality.
